Why is Les Arcs a good ski resort for school groups?

Les Arcs is fantastic for door step skiing and is made up of 4 modern resorts. Arcs 1600 is the lowest village of the resort and is also know as one of the most friendly villages, with a quite night-life. Just a bit further up from this is Arcs 1800 which is perfect for mixed abilities groups and has a lot of nursery slopes and free lifts.

The great thing about the resort is the way the easy routes and the slightly more advance routes meet up, so your group can all get to the same place by different routes depending upon their confidence.

Getting to Les Arcs
The closest airport to Les arcs is Chambery which is situated 144kms away and takes around 2 hours to reach. Alternatively your next best options are Grenoble (211kms), Lyon (222kms) and Geneva (225 kms). Check with your ski operator for the best method of transport for your school group.

For beginners
Les Arcs is great for beginners with a number of nursery slopes and free beginners lifts. 136 of it's 237 runs are classed as easy runs. While there aren't all that many green runs, a lot of the blue runs are wide and gentle, so once they have found their feet, your students will have plenty of choice on places to practice.
